finally got to draw again after a full week of catching up at work...here is the layout of page 4. I added some block tones to help see what's going on...the pencils came in pretty light.

new project, page 1

Just did a quick scan of this so I can look at it at work. Looks like I need to clean my scanner. This is a project called "pinned: Monster fights" written by Kevin Panetta. It's going to be part of the "legends of super wrestle" web comic. more drawing and scanning tonight.

Robots and lizards: more details

I am having a hard time motivating myself to sit down and draw this week. spent about 20 minutes over the last couple days picking at this drawing adding little bits here and there. Seems like I spend all day thinking about getting home to draw while sitting in meetings at work and then when I get home I find one excuse after the next to not draw. waaah waaah waah. tomorrow is a new day I guess.

So I heard about this free website, Gyminee, that helps you track calories in and out, your current and goal wieght and suggests workouts for you. Been reading through the "Barefoot Gen" comics by Keiji Nakazawa. They're extremely moving books about a family's survival in Hiroshima after the bomb was dropped. Tooling around on the internet I stumbled across some clips of the animated movie (1983). wow.

Trickster Pencils: Page 1

This is the first page of pencils I am illustrating for an comics anthology of Native American stories called, "Trickster".

Liquid Revolver

I just finished illustrating 6 pages (which are a small portion of a larger story) called, "Liquid Revolver".

This bit represents the first comics related work I have ever started and completed. So yeah it's only 6 pages but it is a milestone for me. Cheers.

Warming down

Been up late drawing but never got into a groove. Here is the last thing I did as a kind of warm down and it turned into a deecnt little painting. Its of my kids in a sackrace over the summer.

Sketch book entries: This idea is stolen from the DC Conspiracy forum stolen from Alex Toth. The idea is to draw a bunch of little boxes and fill them in with sketches. Like the aforementioned artists I also am using a pen to draw without rough pencils. Hopefully this can increase my ability to wield a pen and also forces me to be spontaneous since there is no chance to go back and redo anything.
