BubBomb 4 tiers of panels...one more to go

Some more work on "Bug Bomb" page 1 tonight. I like these panels. you can also faintly see the layout of the final panel on the page. not sure if my scanner could suck worse though. Apologies for the crappy looking scan and weird blotchy areas. it's amazingly bad...the big gray bar in the middle of the bottom part of the page is mind blowing. not sure how that got there. really annoying.

Links

Some links Kevin snowed me today

Mars import comics and whatnot
League of Movable Type open source fonts

Reference: Presentation tools

I do a lot of presentations at work and found a couple cool little apps from the Duarte Design blog

The first one is a visualization app for streaming/showing live twitter feeds during a presentation - visible tweets
the second is a slick presentation tool called prezi. It makes really nice transitions and allows you to zoom in and out really easy. Here's one I did jsut to play with it. Took me about 30 minutes.

a little more page 1

working on a tier-a-night getting more comfortable with the washing technique. Right now I'm not happy with the backgrounds but I think everything will look ok when the word balloons are added in.

Bug Bomb top tier page 1

here's the first three panels of page 1 of "Bug Bomb" (written by Kevin Panetta). Kind of a bad scan - bluryness in the second panel. But overall I like how this is coming out.

doodles and scanner hate

is there anything worse then dropping a couple hundred on new hardware and it's a piece of shit? I hate my new scanner. SO I went to plug in my 10 year old canon even though it only worked in spurts....well too bad for me, there are no cano scan drivers for mac so it's too bad for me. Whatever. sticking with the crap for now but god it sucks.

Anyway, for your enjoyment, here is a crappy scan of a mediocre sketch.

Been a while since I had a working computer, tablet and photoshop all working but I finally got it all last back together again so I can get back to coloring. Here is the latest page of monster fights one that I drew last year but still haven't finished coloring. more soon.
